Stale Plastic runs on Ghost(Pro), which handles the CMS, hosting, analytics, and the newsletter. I picked it for three reasons: it's open source, it sends email, and it connects to the Fediverse. Nothing here depends on a company deciding my readers should see something else instead.
The theme is custom built.
Writing happens in some unresolved mix of the Ghost editor, BBEdit, and iA Writer, which I'm still trialing. I'll update this line when I've decided.
